Rachel Dunbar, Ph. D.

Dr. Rachel B. Dunbar is the founder and CEO of Redirect Consulting, Incorporated (RDC, Inc.), an educational consulting firm specializing in industry assessment and program restructuring in order to help clients realize academic and professional excellence. She holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Doctorate in Early Childhood Education/Urban Education from Georgia State University. She has spent significant time overseas in Asia and Australia developing and implementing educational programs and has made numerous distinguished contributions to educational research at schools and universities in the U.S. With over 16 years of extensive educational experience in both the domestic and international arena, Dr. Dunbar represents the “complete package” as a consultant with expertise in Diversity Education, Curriculum Design, Special Education, Educational Leadership, and Reading Development.

As a domestic and international workshop facilitator and conference presenter, Dr. Dunbar emphasizes a “hands-on, minds-on” approach to learning. Her presentations have included confronting racism and bias in educational settings, diversity sensitivity, migroagressions, supplier diversity, constructive team building, the impact of faculty mentoring on undergraduate students, and integrated curricula for grade level educators. Dr. Dunbar stresses the need for diversity infusion in both academics and professional development.

Under the premise that the world is not a mono cultural society, Dr. Dunbar urges individuals to critically consider how they can play a positive role in fostering a more inclusive learning environment. Dr. Dunbar has provided instruction Augusta State University, Alabama A&M University, The University of West Georgia, Calhoun Community College, and The University of West Alabama. Her passion for helping others grow in every facet of their lives led her to establish a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama to create the P.O.W.E.R. Mentor Program (Placing Opportunities Within Everyone’s Reach). This program, which pairs college students as mentors to children from the Boys & Girls Clubs, focuses on fiscal responsibility, cultural and fine arts exposure, STEM exposure, and motivation for college attainment.

Taharee Jackson, Ph.D.

Dr. Taharee A. Jackson is a veteran diversity, equity, and inclusion Expert Consultant. Dr. Jackson holds a Magna Cum Laude B.A. from Harvard University in Psychology and Spanish; a Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Human Development and Psychology; and a Ph.D. from Emory University in teacher education, multicultural education, and urban education reform.

Dr. Jackson is a certified federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) counselor and a certified Sexual Harassment and Assault Prevention Program (SHARP) Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC).
She joined the Department of Defense after a 17-year career as a professor of education and teacher educator, most recently at the University of Maryland College Park. There she served as an professor of Minority and Urban Education in the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership.

Dr. Jackson served as a public and private school teacher prior to becoming a diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging consultant for the past 16 years. She is an expert trainer and Lead Equity Specialist for the Equity Literacy Institute, and a certified Trainer-of-Diversity-Trainers by the National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI).

Her clients and audiences as an independent consultant and trainer have included federal agencies, private corporations, universities, schools and school districts, non-profit organizations, international military officers, and members of each branch of the armed forces. Dr. Jackson resides in Gaithersburg, MD. She enjoys volunteering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the USO Warrior and Family Center, and in her church community. She also enjoys traveling, biking, kayaking, and picnicking at her father’s gravestone at Arlington National Cemetery.
